PPN established as an authority in evaluation guidelines & treatment recommendations.
Feigin & Cherry’s Textbook of Pediatric Infectious Diseases, 9th Edition equips clinicians with foundational knowledge on PANS/PANDAS including the PPN diagnostic flowchart.

Recipients are:

  • RFP Awardee – Dr. Lauren Breithaupt for her work in the development and evaluation of a clinical assessment of PANDAS and PANS.
  • Dr. Allison Vreeland for her work to advance the identification of neural biomarkers for PANS/PANDAS (and Sydenham Chorea).
  • Dr. Chandra Menendez for her work to uncover the mechanisms driving autoimmune responses, basal ganglia encephalitis, and neuropsychiatric sequelae.

Through in person exhibiting and educational advertising, individuals who may contribute to the care of those impacted by PANS/PANDAS were provided a direct opportunity to learn more about PANS/PANDAS.

PPN hosted a webinar presented by Amy B. Young, Psy.D to teach clinicians how psychologists are an integral part of the treatment team that provides vital support in several key areas including assessment, therapeutic interventions, psychoeducation, collaboration with other professionals, and support for families.
